Tom Dwan Nominated for Poker Hall of Fame

Tom Dwan Nominated

The votes of thousands of poker players over a multiple-week period have been cast and counted, revealing a ten-name shortlist for the next addition to poker's hall of fame. The current Hall of Famers and a media circle will decide who makes it.

The nominees decided are quite unsurprising, except perhaps for Tom Dwan. Despite his status as already a poker legend and one who might take the title of "best" from Ivey, he hasn't been on the scene that long compared to others on the list.

Dan Harrington has been playing poker for donkeys' years. In fact, he literally wrote the book on tournament Hold 'em - Harrington on Hold 'em is a must-read for any serious tournament player and his techniques and tactics are still viable today.

Barry Greenstein was also nominated. One of the most successful and charitable players of all time, regularly at major final tables and big cash games. Did someone say "big cash games?" That's right, Ivey's up too.

The full list of ten nominees is:

Tom Dwan

Barry Greenstein

Dan Harrington

Phil Ivey

Tom McEvoy

Men Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen

Daniel Negreanu

Erik Seidel

Mike Sexton
