Ivey Wins Bracelet Number 7
Phil Ivey doesn’t win bracelets at the WSOP often. However, when he does, he seems to win them in bulk. His victory in the $10,000 Omaha 8/Stud 8 championship is his second bracelet of this year and his seventh lifetime. Fourteen players began the final day. Besides Ivey, these included Chad Brown, Blair Rodman, Steve Wong, Dutch Boyd, Jon Turner and Carlos Mortensen. This meant the final table was bound to be a tough one. However, Ivey stormed through it with the full force of his poker prowess to take down the bracelet and $220,538. Sure, the money is his average hourly spend at the blackjack tables but the bracelet means something. When asked what the over/under was on his next victory, Ivey responded: "Tomorrow."
